Roughriders announce roster moves

04/01/03 Roughriders Press Release

The Bismarck Roughriders of the National Indoor Football League have added two players to their roster and released
one player.

The Riders have released Defensive Back Johnnie Peeples out of the University of Montana.

The Riders have re-signed Linebacker Danielle Rollins-Kendall.  The 6' 1" 235lb Rollins-Kendall was with the Riders this preseason.

"Danielle is going to give us that experience that we have been lacking on the defensive side of the ball.  He is a guy who makes plays all over the field and is going to be a big part of our defense," Head Coach Luke Shafer.

The Riders have also added Defensive Back/Wide Receiver Michael Huebner.  The 6' 200lb Huebner played his college football for the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. While with the Cougars Michael played DB,WR,RB and safety.  During his career at Houston Michael was three times selected for Conference USA Hit of the Week and was twice selected Special Teams Player of the Week.  He also had a career 14.2 yd average on punt returns.  "Michael plays several positions which will be a big advantage for us, when you can only dress 21 players having a guy that can play all over the field makes a big difference," said Shafer.
