Big Turnout for Prime Dancer Youth Clinic at the Boys & Girls Club

Tryouts for the Omaha Beef’s award winning dance team attracted Beef fans, dance lovers, and some of the cutest young cheerleaders in the city of Omaha. The fans filled the gym stands at the Omaha Boys& Girls Club at 26th and Hamilton for an hour of non-stop dance with celebrity judges watching every step.

The Boys &Girls Club youth cheer squad kicked off the afternoon tryout by performing with the returning Prime Dancers.  Their hard work at the morning dance clinic added up to lots of applause, excited parents and big smiles from even the youngest performers. When KETV news anchor, Pam Jones, event emcee, urged the kids to do their routine a second time, they jumped right into it.

20 women competed for the openings on this year’s Prime Dance team. It was a tough call for the judges marking their ballots. They were Kara Rovere WOWT, Erin Clements KPTM, Michelle Bandur KMTV, Gary Java KKAR, and Chad Kelsay KKAR. The top six finishers picked to join the Prime Dancers are:

More than 45 youngsters spent the morning learning the latest dance moves from the Prime Dance squad. Dance team coach and choreographer, Sarah Keating, says, “the kids from the Boys & Girls club really put their all into the clinic and our team enjoyed every minute of it.”
