BlackGold dance team announce tryouts

Tryouts for the BlackGold Dance Team will be Saturday, January 25th at Regina Howell Elementary in Beaumont.  Registration is from 8-9 AM; tryouts will end around 3 PM.  There will be a 25$ non-refundable fee for trying out.

The day’s schedule is as follows:

8-9 AM – registration and warm-up

9 – 10:30 AM – learn the tryout dance (hip hop style)

10:30 AM – Noon – Lunch and practice on your own.

Noon – 3 PM – Individual try-outs

During the tryout session, you will perform the try-out dance, and a 4 eight-count dance of your own design and with your own music. You will also be asked to demonstrate any other skills you have such as tumbling or jumps that were not demonstrated in the two dances.

We are looking for cheerleaders and dancers age 18 or older to start this exciting new team.  BlackGold will perform at all Beaumont Driller home games and various other community events. 

Girls selected will be asked to remain for approximately one hour after tryouts for uniform fitting.
