01/31/03 Outlaws Press Release

The Outlaws would like to announce the signing of three wide receivers. All three players are under contract for the 2003 season. Two of them are returning players Brian Meier and James Owens. The other is newcomer Monjero Jones. All three of  these players will make an immediate impact on the league Number 1 offense.

Brian Meier: This will be Brian’s third year with the Outlaws. He played wide receiver running back and quarterback last year. He caught 29 balls for 415 yards and 11 touchdowns. Brian added three rushing touchdowns and two passing. Brian was recently released by the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League.

James Owens: This will be James second year with the Outlaws. He caught 42 passes last year for 464 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Monjero Jones: This will be Monjero’s first year with the Outlaws. He played at Oregon State and El Camino Junior College. The Outlaws coaching will be looking for big things out of Monjero.

The Final open tryout will be Saturday February 1,2003. The Outlaws coaching staff are still looking for a few more players to help solidify the training camp roster. The tryouts will be at the Metra park pavilion building from 11:00 to 3:00PM
