Storm hosting PA announcers and mascot tryouts this weekend

The Sioux Falls Storm of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) is pleased to announce they will be hosting a PA Announcer and Mascot tryout for the 2003 season on Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to Noon.  The tryout will be held at Augustana College in the Elmen Center.

The Mascot (Blizzard) tryout will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. where each individual trying out will go through an interview process and will have to conduct a 2-minute skit.  The Storm is looking for an energetic, kid friendly, crowd-pleasing individual, to be Blizzard for the year.

The PA Announcer tryout will be conducted from 11 a.m. to Noon on Saturday as well.  The Storm is looking for someone with a lot of energy, who’s excited about the game of football, and does a great job in getting the fans involved.  At the PA Announcer tryout, individuals will be given a game script and will be asked to read the introduction of players and other circumstances within a game.

Please contact the Storm front office at 332-4225 to RSVP or with any other questions regarding the tryouts this weekend.  The Storm’s first regular season game will be on March 23, when they travel to Rapid City to take on the Red Dogs.  The Storm’s home opener is April 5, when they will face Casper Wyoming.
