Storm signs Adam Hicks
03/13/03 Storm Press Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) is pleased to announce the signing of former University of South Dakota (USD) and Sioux City Bandits kicker Adam Hicks.
Hicks played in 13 games last season for the Sioux City Bandits before being called up to the Chicago Rush with the Arena Football League. Hicks made 15 out of 15 extra point attempts and 1 out of 4 field goals in 2 games for the Rush. With Sioux City in 2002, Hicks connected on 52 of 59 Point After Attempts and 27 of 48 on field goals. Before joining the NIFL, Hicks played 4 years at USD, where he earned Honorable Mention All-North Central Conference Award and tied the record for most points in a season by a kicker with 80 points. “This is obviously one of our biggest signings of the year! Adam has proved he is one of top players at his position and in the entire league. He will make a huge impact on our football team,” says General Manager Colin Steen.
The Storm’s first regular season game will be on March 23, when they travel to Rapid City to take on the Red Dogs. The Storm’s home opener is April 5, when they face Casper Wyoming. All seven of the Storm’s home games are Saturday night with kickoff at 7:05 p.m. For more information on season ticket options and a complete 2003 schedule, please contact the Storm’s front office at 332-4225 or visit the team’s website at www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
