Not only is it the first road trip of the season, but the journey to Omaha marks another first for the Diesel, a game against an in-state franchise.  The Tri-City Diesel takes on the Omaha Beef Friday night in a 7:30 game at Civic Auditorium in downtown Omaha.

The game, the first of the season for the Beef, comes after a convincing Diesel pasting of La Crosse, 49-18.  Hoping to keep the winning ways going, Diesel team members know the game will be a huge challenge, featuring many players with Nebraska ties on both sides of the ball. The game should be of keen interest to Nebraska fans in general, offering a chance to see former college players from various levels in the state on the field against each other for the first time.
