Diesel hold on for win in Casper
04/16/02 Diesel Press Release The Wyoming Cavalry threw a scare in the direction of the Diesel Saturday, but the Tri-City team clung to a three-point fourth-quarter advantage, taking the 48-41 win on Casper's home turf.
Now with a 2-2 record, the Diesel gave up 132 yards on the ground, but amassed 309 yards through the air as quarterback Justin Coleman connected on 25 of 41 passes thrown. Four of the catches resulted in scores, the longest finding the hands of Dale Van Housen on a 34-yard play.
Eric Ryan and Jeremy Jensen led the tacklers with six and five unassisted grabs respectively. Both Ryan and Jay Christensen were in on seven assists. Returner Jimmie Moore electrified the crowd with a 52-yard kick off return, while kicker Darin Tankersley had field goals from 26 and 30 yards.
The Diesel takes to the road again this week with a trip to Sioux Falls, and will next be home on April 28, a rare Sunday appearance, against the visiting Bandits from Sioux City
