LandSharks name Players of the Week

The Lake Charles LandSharks have named WR Earl Vercher as their Offensive Player of the Week.  Vercher had 6 receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown against the Oklahoma Crude in Week 5.  Vercher has 5 touchdowns and 186 yards on the season.

DE Kendall Shello has been given the honor of being named Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.  Shello finished the game Saturday against the Crude with 6 tackles, two sacks (one safety), and two blocked field goals.  Once again, Shello kept constant pressure on the opponent’s quarterback.

WR Jermaine Martin has been named Special Teams Player of the Week for the LandSharks.  The former McNeese State Cowboy had 3 kickoff returns for 92 yards and a touchdown in Week 5.  Martin continues to be a big-playmaker for the Lake Charles LandSharks..
