For the second time in three weeks, the Lake Charles LandSharks will play the Austin Knights in a National Indoor Football League Atlantic South Division game.
Coming off a 41-12 blowout win over the River City Renegades in their first road game, the LandSharks travel to Austin trying to remain unbeaten.
Lake Charles (3-0, 1-0) is one of four undefeated teams in the league.
"If our play last week was any indication, we'll go into every game with a chance to win," LandSharks coach Kip Texada said.
"Our goal is to go undefeated. The defense played a whale of a game. We were ready for them whatever they ran."
Austin (1-2) will play its first home game of the season at the Travis County Expo Center. The Knights won the season opener at Houma before dropping games to Lake Charles and a 62-38 loss to Lincoln last week.
In the Sharks' 51-31 win on April 6, Lake Charles took a 38-17 third-quarter lead before a melee began and five players were ejected, including LandSharks quarterback Ted Robison. Lake Charles finished the game with receiver Eric Young at quarterback and held off a late charge by the Knights.
They scored some points on us after Ted went out last time," Texada said. "Hopefully we'll keep our composure this time. They'll come at us with a lot of different sets on offense. Our defensive secondary knows what is expected of them."
The LandSharks return home next week against Atlantic South opponent Houma.
