Winston Salem Energy look for their first road win of the year against the Bayou Bucks this Saturday in Houma, Louisiana
Winston-Salem, NC: The Winston-Salem Energy Professional Indoor Football team will be traveling to Louisiana this Saturday night to take on the expansion Bayou Bucks in Houma, Louisiana. The Energy are coming off a tremendous victory this past Saturday night, where they defeated the Tennessee ThunderCats in the closing minute of the game at LJVM 59-54. The victory has the Energy [3-3] knowing that this game against the Bucks [2-4] is a must win situation for the NIFL playoffs. Head Coach Irvin Bryson states" we must be aggressive on the offensive side of the ball and not put our defense in bad field position against the Bucks". Bryson goes on to state" we are banged up on the defensive side of the ball, so it is important for us to come out and put points on the scoreboard early". The Energy will be back at home the following Saturday night against these same Bayou Bucks at LJVM for "Ricky Proehl Night" on May 18, 2002. A portion of the ticket sales for the May 18th game will be going to the Amos Cottage Foundation of Winston Salem.
