Coakley earns weekly honors for 3rd time

            La Crosse Night Train defensive end Derric Coakley was named as Pacific Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Week eight for his performance against the Omaha Beef on Friday, May 2. This marks the third time this season he has won that honor.

            Coakley recorded four tackles, one quarterback sack, and two fumbles forced in a 53-50 loss to Omaha. The Wayne State (MI) graduate leads the NIFL with four fumbles forced this season and is amongst the top ten league leaders in tackles for loss (8.5), sacks (4), and fumble recoveries (2).

            La Crosse will be back in action Saturday night against the Rapid City Red Dogs. The Night Train will host a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at the La Crosse Center.
