Warriors send 'Dogs to the pound

05/26/03 Warriors Press Release

The Utah Warriors went to battle in their home coliseum on Saturday night and emerged victorious over the Rapid City Red Dogs with a (49-43) victory. The Red Dogs have been the only team this year to defeat the Warriors. With the loss in Rapid City the Warriors came home and were ready to play.

Utah Warriors quarter back Danny Ragsdale suffered some major injuries in the Warriors last win against the Bismarck Roughriders. Just prior to game time head coach Lee Leslie decided Danny was healthy enough to play. It was obvious that Danny was not playing the best game of the year but he still led the Warriors to a well deserved win tonight.

Utah Warrior defensive end Jeff Main had an outstanding game tonight with 11.5 tackles and one touch down.

The Utah Warriors will be back on the road next Friday to play the Wyoming Calvary. You can listen to the game live on 1280 KZN the Sports Zone.

The Warriors will return to the E Center on June 14th and will play 3 straight home games. Tonight’s win has kept Utah in the #1 spot in the Pacific West division.
