Storm Lightning Girls to host cheer camp

Have you ever wanted to become a Storm Lightning Girl but were too young?  Now’s your chance! The Sioux Falls Storm Lightning Girls will be hosting a cheer and dance camp for girls between the ages of 5 through 14 on Saturday, June 7th, 2003 at the Sioux Falls Arena. 

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena. The fee is $20.00,which includes receiving original choreography, performing at halftime during the Storm Football game, a camp T-shirt, and a free ticket to the game. The day camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 11:30 a.m. The girls will be featured as the halftime entertainment during the June 7th game when your Sioux Falls Storm takes on the Utah Warriors. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m. Participants in the camp will perform their routines that night. To pre-register, call the Storm front office at 332-4225.

The Storm is coming off a 36-32 victory against the Billings Outlaws last Saturday night. Currently, at 6-4 on the season, the Storm sits in 3rd place in the playoff race. The next home game is Saturday, June 7th at 7:05 p.m. when the Storm will face the Utah Warriors. Saturday night is also “Kids Night” at the Sioux Falls Arena where the first 1,000 kids receive a Storm Frisbee.
