FireAnts rest up for Hounds and more

The Tupelo FireAnts (1-9) are taking this week off after dropping a 43-22 decision to the Lexington Horsemen (7-2) last Saturday night at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

The game featured Tupelo’s multi-faceted Darryl Carter who came into the game as a wide receiver, but took snaps in the second half of the game, completing 4 of 5 attempts for 63 yards and a touchdown as well as running the ball for 25 yards.

The FireAnts’ next game will be in Tupelo on Friday, June 13th versus the defending National Indoor Football League champion Ohio Valley Greyhounds (9-0) and their powerhouse defensive lineman Eddie Bynes, who has tallied an incredible 25 tackles for a loss as well as 17 sacks this season.

FireAnts Host 2003 Kids Training Camp

The Tupelo FireAnts are pleased to announce the 2003 Kids Training Camp scheduled for Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19th at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo.

We will host two sessions for kids throughout the day, broken up by age level.  Kids ages 6-8 and

9-10 will participate in the morning session from 8-11:30am while older kids, ages 11-12 and 13-14 will take part in the afternoon session from 1:30-5:00pm.

The cost for this four day camp is $65 and includes and official Tupelo FireAnts Camp T-Shirt, beverages, instruction from FireAnts players and coaches, two tickets to the FireAnts home game on Friday, June 20th and an official camp certificate presented during halftime at the game on Friday, June 20th.
