Knights begin home stretch on a winning note

The Austin Knights, Austin's new indoor football team return home victorious from a four-game winning streak on the road to play the Houma Bayou Bucks, this Saturday, June 8 at 7 p.m. at the Travis County Expo Center.
After starting the season with a win on the road followed by two losses at home, the Knights rallied and improved their record to 5-4 overall and earned themselves a shot at the wildcard spot in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) playoffs.
The June 8 game will be the first of five home games in a row for the Knights, wrapping up their fourteen-game season at the Expo Center.
"Our game schedule worked our perfectly," said Craig Jenkins, team owner and president. "The team is coming home just as the air-conditioning is finished in the Expo Center, so the fans can watch the next five home games in air-conditioned comfort!"
Additionally, the team will be hosting a meet the team event this Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public is invited to come meet their favorite players at the Hooter's located inside Northcross Mall. Players will also be available for one-on-one interviews with the media.
