NIFL names Players of the Week

Lafayette, LA.....For the first time this season the NIFL has named players of the week. We still have teams submitting corrections on stats from previous weeks and the league has been unable to choose Player's of the Week until now.
The Pacific Conference
Offensive Player of the Week goes to Billings Quarterback Albert Higgs. Higgs completed 22 of 33 attempts for 289 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Week goes to Dwayne Harris of the Omaha Beef. Harris contributed to Omaha's victory with 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 2 sacks on the night.
Special Teams Player of the week goes to Bismarck's own A.J. Street. Street returned 8 kickoffs for 158 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Atlantic Conference
For the Atlantic Conference both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week goes to players from the Ohio Valley Greyhounds.
Offensive Player of the Week goes to Birdie Dockery, who rushed 31 times for 152 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also completed a receiving touchdown to make his scoring effort 30 points on the night.
While on defense, Dejuan Gold is credited with 10 tackles, a forced fumble and 3 sacks on the night.
Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Shadrick McAfee of the Lake Charles Landsharks. McAfee returned 8 kickoffs for 197 yards averaging 24.6 yards per return. He also completed 2 touchdowns on the night.
