FireAnts take on Champs Friday

The Tupelo FireAnts (1-9) after a break from the action last week, will take on the defending National Indoor Football League champion Ohio Valley Greyhounds (10-0) this Friday night at the BancorpSouth Center.  The Greyhounds are coming off of a 44-38 win at Myrtle Beach this past Saturday night.

This is the first game of a three-game home stand in which the FireAnts will face two division leaders (Ohio Valley and the Lake Charles Land Sharks). Tupelo will be led by multi-faceted offensive threat Darryl Carter, who has played wide receiver, running back, and quarterback so far this season, and the combo of Eric Bingham and Ricky Franklin on defense. Ohio Valley will be led on offense by outstanding quarterback Shane Franzer and on defense by powerhouse defensive lineman Eddie Bynes.

Friday’s game kicks off at 7:05pm at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo.  To order individual tickets, call the Box Office at 841-6528. 

FireAnts Host 2003 Kids Training Camp

The Tupelo FireAnts are pleased to announce the 2003 Kids Training Camp scheduled for Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19th at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo.

We will host two sessions for kids throughout the day, broken up by age level.  Kids ages 6-8 and 9-10 will participate in the morning session from 8-11:30am while older kids, ages 11-12 and 13-14 will take part in the afternoon session from 1:30-5:00pm.

The cost for this four day camp is $65 and includes and official Tupelo FireAnts Camp T-Shirt, beverages, instruction from FireAnts players and coaches, two tickets to the FireAnts home game on Friday, June 20th and an official camp certificate presented during halftime at the game on Friday, June 20th.
