NIFL names Players of the Week

Lafayette La… Week 14 Players of the Week have been selected.

From the Pacific Conference the Offensive Player of the Week goes to Rapid City Red Dogs player Tom Skogg. Skogg contributed 6 touchdowns on the night. Five on the ground for a total of 147 yards rushing and one through the air giving him a total of 177 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week is Sioux City’s Jesse Wavranek. Wavranek had 8 tackles for a loss of 46 yards and 2.5 sacks on the night.

Special Teams Player of the Week is also a Bandit. For the third time this season, Dave Perrigo, has returned a 45 yard kick off for a touchdown.

The Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week is Shadrick McAfee of the Landsharks. McAfee is the first NIFL player to win Player of the Week twice. He had 8 catches 106 yards for 3 touchdowns

Lake Charles also claims Defensive Player of the Week with the efforts of Kendell Shello. Shello 5 tackles for a loss of 32 yards, 4 solo sacks, a safety, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown on the evening.

Special Teams Player of the Week goes to the Bucks’ player Nemesis Bates. Bates returned 7 kicks for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns.
