America's Ride comes to American Dream this Thursday

09/02/03 Beef Press Release

Tuesday, September 02, 2003 - Omaha, Nebraska - American Dream will be host to the 7th of 13 national stops on the second annual America's Ride on Thursday, September 4th.

America's Ride is a unique, patriotic, cross-country motorcycle event, benefiting the World Trade Center Miracles Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to assist 9/11 families and those "who have fallen through the cracks". Those currently being assisted include: children and spouses of the deceased, injured rescue workers and firemen, the New York Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, lower income families and our nation's military personnel. The foundation also prepares for the future by providing funds in the event of another terrorist attack.

Last year's coast-to-coast America's Ride was an amazing experience for the motorcycle enthusiasts who participated and for all the many communities who came out in support of the riders' behalf. Featured on Good Morning America, CNN, the Los Angeles times and all local media resources along the route, America's Ride was a patriotic showing of Americans supporting their fellow countrymen. The ride traveled 3,751 miles, stopping at 11 host cities and held memorial services at the Stonycreek School in Shanksville, PA, on the Capital grounds in Washington, D.C., and at Ground Zero in New York City, in an effort to heal and unify our country from the tragic events of 9/11/2001.

Motorcycle enthusiasts will enjoy the hundreds of specialty and one-of-a-kind motorcycles along with the Broken Spoke Saloon, Go Fast Bus, and national emergency vehicles from Ground Zero in New York City.
The Omaha Event will begin at 5:00 PM at the American Dream located at 2607 South 120th Street and will host A ceremony that will show local support for the riders followed by a celebration.
