BlueCats sign DB/FS

09/29/03 BlueCats Press Release

The Evansville BlueCats have signed Defensive Back/Free Safety Scotty Stewart for the 2004 season.  Scotty brings 3 years of Indoor experience to the game.  He attended Carson Newman & Maryville College and earned a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education.  Stewart previously played for the now defunct Tennessee ThunderCats and led the team all three years in interceptions.  The 6’1” 205 lb. Defensive Back is the younger brother of Detroit Lions Running Back, James Stewart.  The new ownership is very excited about signing Scotty as he will be a key player for our defensive secondary this coming year.
