RiverHawks search for new talent

KNOXVILLE, TN- The Tennessee RiverHawks, Knoxville’s new indoor football team, are holding tryouts for the 2003 squad. The team is taking the opportunity to search for talent in Knoxville and the surrounding area.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 from 5pm to 10pm at the ThunderPlex (737 Lovell Road). Participants are asked to wear a t-shirt, shorts, and turf shoes. The registration fee is $45. Participants will receive an official tryout t-shirt.

The RiverHawks will play in the Atlantic Conference North Division of the National Indoor Football League in 2003. The NIFL has announced several expansion teams including Lexington, KY, which will become the RiverHawks closest rival. The team will also visit Myrtle Beach, SC and Fort Wayne, IN. The 2002 League Champion Ohio Valley Greyhounds will also return to defend their title.
