Heartland Sports Enterprises Makes More Announcements Monday
Heartland Sports Enterprises, co-founded by Jay and Harlan Noddle, announces it has successfully finalized the deal to purchase the Omaha Beef. Over the last few weeks, while negotiating to buy the team, the Noddles put together a highly qualified management team – real pros that have the expertise to deliver a quality product on and off the field.
“We’re extremely pleased at the success we’ve had in assembling our senior management team. We feel confident that people living in the metro area are going to embrace this team in a whole new way. A confident Jay Noddle added, “we look forward to a great 2003 season and bringing home a championship”.
The management moves put former Cornhuskers, Jon Bostick and Damon Benning, back on the same team. Bostick is the team’s new general manager and Senior Vice President with Heartland Sports Enterprises. Bostick, an All Big Eight wide receiver, turned to the business side of football after he wrapped up a successful college career. He helped manage sports promotion for the Husker football program, one of the most successful sports operations in the country. He’ll use that expertise to promote the Beef as a local team with great fan appeal for all ages.
Damon Benning is a Senior Vice President of Business Development with Heartland Sports Enterprises and he’ll take a lead role in recruiting strategy as well as community relations. Benning is an indoor football veteran and league MVP. He’s well connected to players looking for their next opportunity and his community roots run deep. As the executive director of Pacific Pals, Pacific Realty’s foundation, Benning knows first hand that community support can go a long way to building a successful franchise.
