Lexington, KY- The National Indoor Football League has released its 2004 schedule and division alignments, and the Lexington Horsemen will kick off their season on the road on March 21, facing one of their new division rivals, the St. Louis Show Me Believers. Lexington's first home game will take place on March 27 against the Fort Wayne Freedom in Rupp Arena.

The NIFL will expand to 26 teams for 2004, and three of the six expansion franchises, the Atlantic City CardSharks, the Staten Island Xtreme, and the Greenville (SC) RiverHawks, will face Lexington this season. To coincide with its expansion to 26 teams, the NIFL has also realigned its divisions for 2004, expanding to three divisions in each of its two conferences. Lexington joins the newly created Atlantic North division, along with the Evansville Blue Cats, Fort Wayne Freedom, and St. Louis Show Me Believers.

In other news, the Horsemen will be holding an open tryout in Heritage Hall (located in the Lexington Center, next to Rupp Arena) on Saturday, December 13.
