LadyHawks search for additional talent
12/10/02 RiverHawks Press Release
KNOXVILLE, TN- The Tennessee LadyHawks, professional dance team for Tennessee RiverHawks Indoor Professional Football, will hold a second tryout for the 2003 squad on Saturday, February 8, 2002. The tryout will be held at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum Ballroom. Registration begins at 9am.
“There are four positions remaining. We want to fill those positions with talent comparable to what is already on the team,” said LadyHawks Coordinator Jackie Dunn.
The LadyHawks have already made several appearances since the first tryout held in November and are looking forward to several more during the holidays. The new team visited the River Rat Morning Show with Phil Williams the week following tryouts and debuted their new look at the WIVK Santa Claus Parade. The following morning the ladies began early with an appearance in the Fountain City Christmas Parade. “We have been busy since tryouts, but we are excited about the new team and all of the promotions and events we will be involved with in the coming months,” said Dunn.
On Thursday, December 12, the LadyHawks will accompany RiverHawks players, coaches, and staff to a Christmas party for Saving Little Hearts, a non-profit organization dedicated to children with congenital heart defects. “Saving Little Hearts is a relatively new group in Knoxville. We are very interested in what they are doing for children in the area and are eager to get involved and help as much as we can,” said RiverHawks Director of Marketing Ashley Humphrey.
