RiverHawks want to save little hearts

12/11/02 RiverHawks Press Release

KNOXVILLE, TN-  On Thursday, December 12, Tennessee RiverHawks players, and the LadyHawks dance team will visit a Christmas party for Saving Little Hearts, a local non-profit organization dedicated to children with congenital heart defects.

“Since my son’s birth, my husband and I have spent many hours at children's hospitals and pediatric cardiologists offices. This has made a profound effect on our lives.  We have decided that we'd like to do anything we can to help the field of pediatric cardiology,” said Karin Coulter who, with husband Brad, founded the support group to facilitate fund-raisers and community awareness programs in the Tennessee area.  “Saving Little Hearts is a relatively new group in Knoxville.  We are very interested in what they are doing for children in the area and are eager to get involved and help as much as we can,” said RiverHawks Director of Marketing Ashley Humphrey.

The Saving Little Hearts Christmas Party will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 12, 2002 at Celebration Station on Cedar Bluff.  All media is invited to attend.  Contact the RiverHawks front office for more information.
