Diesel announce 2003 signees

The Tri-City Diesel Front Office reported today that they are proud to announce the signing of five players from the 2002 squad along with three new faces. Returning to the Diesel will be three-year veteran Defensive End, Anthony Parker. Parker a 6' 250lb. Defensive end from Friends University will be a good anchor for the Diesel Defense. Last year Parker recorded 43 total tackles and had 5 tackles for loss. Also returning will be kicker, Darin Tankersley. The 6'2", 205-pounder from Eastern Oregon University finished the year with a 46% field goal percentage (25/54) and was 90% (54/60) on extra points. There will also be two familiar faces back in the Diesel backfield for 2003. Both Andre Hatcher and Ray Rubins have signed to play for the Diesel. At 5'11" and 6' respectively they are expected to pack a one-two punch for the Diesel. Last year Hatcher carried the ball 75 times for 275 yards (3.7 yd/carry) and Rubins racked up 76 yards on just 17 carries (4.5 yd/carry). The only receiver to sign back from last year's squad is 6'4" 180 pound Dustin Morgan. Dustin will be coming back to improve on his 6 catches for 72 yards that he got last year.
The Tri-City Diesel is also pleased to announce the signing of a former UNK standout, Ryan Bedlan. Ryan who received numerous honors in Football and Track at UNK will be a deep threat at Wide Receiver and also a Return Specialist. To join him on the offensive side of the ball is Quarterback, Roger Linn, a 6'4", 215 pounder from the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. To round out the 2003 signees for the Diesel is 6'2" 290 pound Offensive Lineman from Portland State University, Lonnie Bowden.
