NIFL announces Players of the Week

Week 3 Players of the Week have been selected.

Lafayette La… Week 3 Players of the Week have been selected.  From the Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week goes to Fort Wayne Freedom’s Quarterback Antoine Taylor.  Taylor not only passed for 170 yards and 4 touchdowns, he ran for an additional 3 touchdowns.   Defensive Player of the Week is Andre Reed from the Houma Bayou Bucks with 4.5 sacks on the night. tackles,  Special Teams Player of the Week honors go to Tupelo Fireants’ Bobby Hill.  Hill returned for 53 yards and contributed 1 interception and 3 tackles on the night.

For the second week in a row, the Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Week is Sherman Jones of the Tri-City Diesel.  Jones had 23 carries for 88 yards and two rushing touchdowns  .  Defensive Player of the Week  honors goes to LaCrosse Night Train’s Derric Coakley with 9 solo tackles, 3 for a loss and 3 assisted tackles  The Diesel also captured the Special Teams Player of the Week  with Eric Greene who had 2 solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles plus a key 2-pt. Conversion.
