Yep title says it all. Here we go again with the Believers shuffling coaches. According to the Believers new website the Believers will announce there new head coach on the 1st week of December.

My question is, WHY? Why do we have to have a new head coach? Powers was doing a great job last year. He had this team on a verge of a breakout. And now we gotta go back to what we did in 2002 with the constant changing of coaches. Whoever the guy is he better be [email protected] good and capable to coach this team to the playoffs, or atleast a winning record. He better be good if we're replacing Powers for him.

Sorry to hear the bad news Showstopper! Powers definitely had the team on the right track.

But to put things in perspective. It appears that 4 out of the 5 teams in last years Pac North will have different people as head coach going into this season!

If Sioux Falls is indeed in this division, watch out. They're my early favorite.

Not quite CF4L. I don't think Powers is done cursing the Cornhuskers just yet. icon_twisted.gif

SF is always an early favorite, mid-season slide comes to mind though.

I can't wait until we get some news about signees. I have heard rumors, but nothing definate, so I won't comment, but if the rumors pan out, all this division will see is my tail lights.

Well it looks like the Believers hooked a pretty good one. Mike Wyatt has been announced the new head coach and GM of the Believers. This guy is a notorious coach throughout German, Itallian, and Swedish Football Leagues. He's led a bunch of differant European Football Teams to league titles and conference titles. With one of his European teams, they broke a league recored by accumulating over 6,000 passing yards and in the process they only threw 9 interceptions. He also led an Oklahoma High School team to a massive turnaround. The team went from an 0-10 season one year and the next year they went 9-0. Just go to the Believers website to get more information on Wyatt. They've got a whole list of all his accomplishments in coaching.

It's all coming together now. The reasoning behind Wyatt becoming the new head coach is because the Believers needed a full time head coach. Powers had to deal with running a business and coaching the Believers at the same time. So as a result he didn't have full concentration on the team. Still I thought he did a nice job as coach this past year.

Wyatt however is a man who knows football. He sounds like he is very good in the development of players, and hopefully with that talent he can mold this team into a playoff contender. icon_biggrin.gif

I will have to check, but I think he may have tried for the Bandits job, I am not sure though. But, if this is the same coach, from what I have heard, he is a great offensive coach. The Believers have got a good one.

He did apply for the bandits job but removed his name from consideration after getting the offer form the Believers. He has got a great opportunity especially with three former players on the team. Plus a move to a new conference and division. The schedule looks favorable, it looks like it will be an exciting year for Show Me Believers Football.
