Hey, any players reading this please pass on this message. All returning players are asked to meet at Brewskies on 27th and Cornhusker at 7pm on Dec 13th. We will discuss everything that needs to be talked about, and touch base with everyone so we can get a damn ring. Toline and I will try to call everybody, but please help pass on the message. We need to get everyone together as soon as possible. Oh, and I'll buy the first round.
One more thing...Jose will be the head coach (99%). Coach T and coach M will also be helping out (90%). We really can't be asking for more, so lets all get on the same page and kick a little booty. This is probably it for a lot of us, so lets go out in style.

See.....this is why the Caps are my favorite team. Most of your teams are having tryouts at a fieldhouse, the Caps have theirs at Brewskys

Sounds good........hope it's a great and productive meeting. I know this thread is for players, but good Caps news is great to see!

Hopefully this means someone will be answering phones soon in the Caps office so we can help work on getting butts in seats!

Hard to run a booster club when you don't feel like your getting support from ownership. I'm not necessarily knocking ownership, they just have more important things to worry about than the booster club. And without 100% support, it's hard to get things accomplished.

If there's enough interest and our help is still wanted, a booster club is still possible. Heck we still have a few dollars in the old check book. Last year we were still able to buy everyone on the team autographed footballs.

Makes me wonder if the booster club check book has a higher balance than the team's check book (LOL).

Hope things went well down there tonight!

Even though the front office isn't in place it's great to see a quality bunch of guys like you(players and coachs) preparing for the season already. It shows what a great bunch we are fortunate to have here in Lincoln.

Hopefully we can get a active front office in place to some how recapture the positive momentum that the last group had going at the end of last season!

Just wondering how the player meeting went. I hope all is well and the team comes back better than ever.

Went to the meeting last night. The guy's that were in attendance and the ones that we've been in contact with are ready to go.

Several things were discussed but I'll let the players tell what they want to make public at this time. I will say if the majority of last years team returns don't thank Bruce or any coach. Thank Dunk, Trent and other veteran players and supporters making calls gathering everyone together.

The inactivity of this organization is the main reason I won't buy my ticket until the beginning of the season if at all!

Thanks for sharing Mike, and you make a great point! We Caps fans need to keep up with the news on here!

Thanks to the leadership of some of our favorite players, and their hopes to get this season started right there are preparations for this next season despite the fact we have no coach or front office at this point!

I've been in class at work all day and haven't had a chance to keep up! There's good feelings in the air, I see the Capitol website has been updated a little!
