Bandits sign three ex-Attack standouts

The wheels of change continue to spin for the Sioux City Bandits indoor football team.
Six days after replacing head coach Phil Karpuk with Carl Reinhardt, a former assistant, the first-year National Indoor Football League team picked up three familiar players Wednesday.
Added to the roster were wide receiver/quarterback Jon Elder, linebacker Matt Hughes and running back Lamont Truitt, all members of last year's Sioux City Attack squad. Full story>>
Kerns field goal lifts Bandits to first NIFL victory, 38-36

Redemption. Last week, Sioux City's Jeff Kerns missed a potential game-winning field goal with time running out, allowing Rapid City to hand the Bandits their fourth loss in as many National Indoor Football League games.
The shoe was on the same right foot Friday night, but pointed in the right direction this time.
With nine seconds left in an NIFL duel with the Wyoming Cavalry at Sioux City Auditorium, the South Sioux City fifth-grade teacher booted a 30-yard field goal to give the Bandits their first win of the season, 38-36 Full story>>
