Lamont Truitt's 1-yard touchdown run with 30.5 seconds left put the Bandits in front, but their victory wasn't secure until Storm kicker Nate Krull's 33-yard field-goal attempt went wide right with 6.6 seconds to play. But it'll be understandable if his players think differently by the 7:05 p.m. kickoff against the Sioux City Bandits at the Arena. After all, there are more factors playing into this growing rivalry than simply the proximity of the cities involved. "There's a lot of stuff behind the scenes with the players and the coaches," Sioux City coach Carl Reinhardt said. "This game brings a lot to the table." Full story>> Storm seeks to stay perfect 05/05/01 ADAM THALER Argus Leader When Sioux Falls Storm coach Mike Aldrich looked over his team's schedule before the season, he had an idea which stretch would be the most difficult. In a span of 15 days from late April to early May, the Storm would have to play in Casper, Wyo.; Provo, Utah; and Biloxi, Miss. That's an easy travel schedule if you're the Harlem Globetrotters, but it's not when your players have day jobs and you normally travel by bus. "I figured regardless of the matchups or who we were playing, three straight road games with those distances built into it --it was definitely going to be a challenge," Aldrich said.
